I am an Assistant Professor at the Mathematics Department of the University of Colorado in Boulder. I just finished a Van Vleck Assistant Professorship at the Mathematics Department of the University of Wisconsin.
Jointly with Ken Kunen I advised a PhD student Dilip Raghavan on his thesis work. He defended May 2008 and is now on a postdoc at the University of Toronto. He received a Sacks prize for his thesis.
My main interests are in mathematical logic, but I will think about anything interesting. My results so far are on various notions of almost disjoint sets (very mad families and maximal cofinitary groups) and effective randomness. I am actively working on broadening my research.
